It is with great pleasure that Robpe da Coppe receives the ANP Award for Technological Innovation (2017) with the participation of the SMT team: Profs. Sérgio L. Netto, Fernando Pereira and Eduardo A. da Silva and the students Gustavo Henrique, Lucas, Allan and Amanda. The awards ceremony took place on 08/31/2017 at the Itamaraty Palace in Rio de Janeiro.
Doris, the robot developed by researchers from the Coppe / UFRJ Coppe / UFRJ Electrical Engineering Program, received the ANP of Technological Innovation in 2017 on August 31st. Professor Ramon Romankevicius Costa represented the team of the Simulation Group and Control in Automation and Robotics (GSCAR) at the awards ceremony, held at 11 am at the Itamaraty Palace in Rio de Janeiro.
Doris is a mobile robot, developed by Coppe researchers in partnership with Petrobras and Statoil. The robot can be used in oil platforms and complex environments, which require frequent monitoring and inspection to avoid accidents and production losses. The robot was completed in 2015 and the investment in the project was R $ 7.3 million.
